The second phase audit was held on October 9th and proceeded smoothly the entire morning. After a nice seafood lunch with the auditor we proceeded with the audit as we had a very tight schedule to work through in one day. At the end of the audit we received 2 small minors for improvement as a result of the second phase audit – one simply cannot be perfect when it comes to quality systems. We immediately addressed and corrected these minors after which we received a positive assessment from the auditor for our audit with the announcement that the certificate was going to be applied for!
So now we are eagerly awaiting the official FSSC 22000 certificate for our quality system as proof that we meet the benchmarking standards of the Global Food Safety Initiative! Stay tuned for more updates on our FSSC-22000 certification journey in our upcoming newsletters!
